FreeNAS 11 was recently released, so I'm going to continue my series on running OpenVPN servers from FreeNAS jails. In theory these instructions could be followed on any old FreeBSD 11 jail, but FreeN I started an openVPN connection on port 53 and my friend called me from the plane he was on that was $25/hr for shitty wifi. I am absolutely amazed. Just tested at the mall too with 5 captive portals incl mcdonalds. Don't even have to login lol.

Alternative: OpenVPN open source Tunnelblick program. The open source project has a client for the macOS operating system as well. It is called Tunnelblick and it is less limited in functionality than the OpenVPN Connect Client because it does support the option to connect to multiple OpenVPN servers at the same time. Because these are kernel extensions, there is no Homebrew formula for tuntap.
